Tuning In, Getting to Know You

We’ve been welcoming you all in.

It’s such a privilege to visit you all at your home, then welcome you into the St. Paul’s home.

New relationships and routines.

New tasks and events throughout the day and the week.

New daily rituals and reuniting with families at the end of day.

So many new experiences, sensations, emotions.

Love, care and attachment is so important isn’t it in supporting this newness.

As we get to know you and your child, we give time and space to your personal histories, your uniqueness and similarities, finding connections and community.

Our St. Paul’s Promise “I know my own uniqueness and embrace diversity” supports children to enjoy a sense of belonging, make choices, show autonomy.

Our St. Paul’s Promise “I can belong to a group” supports children to connect through gaze, gesture, talk – through the “serve and return” of noticing the cues of communication and responding with shared attention.

All Our Senses – Noticing the World

The things of the world in the children’s hands

To explore

With eyes and mouth

With hands and ears

With nose!

All their senses are being used to connect to their nursery, their new space and place, their new objects and resources and things.

What will this sensory exploration tell us about each child’s unique learning, unique interests, unique selves?

Let’s Go Outside

Splish!

Splash!

Splosh!

We love the rain.

Whole body jump into the puddles.

Wild wind,

Through our hair,

On our faces.

Autumn sunshine,

Warming us up.

We do love to be in our garden.

Would you like to come outside?
