Children’s Centre

All families who use our services should register with the Children’s Centre. This can be done when you visit the centre, or online at the Bristol City Council site:

Register for a Children’s Centre

For families claiming Tax Free Childcare, there is up to 20% government support for all childcare charges. For families claiming Universal Credit who also work more than 1 hour per week, there is up to 85% government support for childcare costs, and you can claim in advance.

Early Years 1 (0-2 year olds)

To register for a place in our baby room you will need to:

  • Make an appointment to visit the setting
  • Complete a Day Care Application Form and pay the registration fee
  • It is important that you discuss your specific needs with a member of staff
  • There is a waiting list for all our day care places – we will endeavour to do all we can to accommodate your needs but we cannot guarantee you a place on registration
  • Please refer to the Fees and sessions page for further information

Early Years 2 (2-3 year olds)

  • To register for a fee paying place within this room please follow the application process as detailed above
  • Some families may be eligible for a free place the term after their child turns two years old, depending on their need. The Early education and childcare section of the Bristol City Council website has details on this scheme and a copy of the application form. Alternatively you can drop in to the centre and we can help you complete the form and send it off for assessment.
  • Should you be allocated a daycare place, you will be contacted by a member of the Children’s Centre staff

Nursery School (3-4 year olds)

  • You can register your child for a Nursery School place from the age of 2 years by completing an application form. You will then be placed on our waiting list
  • Please note that children wanting to transfer from EY2 will still need to complete an application form
  • Free Nursery entitlement is 15 hours per week – that will be offered as two full school days and one half-day
  • We also offer a limited number of 30 hours spaces – please check www.childcarechoices.gov.uk for eligibility
