Dear Parents/Carers,

Happy New Year to you all.

I am writing to keep you up to speed RE: school openings.

Over the holidays we have only been notified of 2 cases of COVID-19 from the final days of last term. The bubbles affected were notified immediately.

We have had no more reported since then.

As you know, Bristol has not been requested to keep schools and nurseries closed for the start of this term.

However, like you, we are all concerned at the speed of the spread of the new strain of the virus and will be watching numbers of cases in our area very closely which will inform our future decisions.

St Pauls Nursery School and Daycare service will remain open as it stands, but as nursery school is non-statutory you are free to keep your child at home for a few weeks should you feel more comfortable with this.

Please let us know by phone if this is your intention.

Can we also please request that from now on you WEAR FACE MASKS as you drop off or collect your child from nursery.

Of course, we urge you to get tested should you or any of your family feel unwell, to stay home, and to stay safe.

What a scary start to the new year, but I do believe things may start to improve in the spring.

Thankyou for your continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back to nursery tomorrow, or catching up with you on the phone.

Kind Regards
