We Are BIG Bold Movers

Movement Matters so much doesn’t it.

Children are making all sorts of connections between their brains and bodies as they crawl and climb, push and pull, slide, and swing!

Movement is so important for brains, for vision, for balance, for control and coordination.

We have been championing children’s confidence in movement.

They are such BOLD MOVERS aren’t they!

We have been jumping – Boing!

We have been sliding and running – whoosh!

We have been rolling – roly-poly!

We have been so full of stamina and strength, agility and flexibility, alertness, and concentration!

We are BIG BOLD MOVERS!

Food and Festivities

Chop Chop Choppity Chop!

Chop off the bottom and chop off the top

What we have left we will put in the pot!

Chop Chop Choppity Chop!

We have been seasonal chefs!

We have been roasters and bakers!

We have been sensing scents!

Did you smell the cinnamon and ginger?

We have been peelers and choppers.

Such confidence and perseverance when using knives to cut root vegetables – such tricky learning!

Did you smell the roasted vegetables as you walked through the door?

Have you seen our Christmas Tree?

Did you hear us sing?

When Santa got stuck up the chimney

He began to shout!

We’ve been cutting and creating…

We’ve been lighting and decorating…

We’ve been singing and dancing…

… our way into our Christmas Breakfast and Winter Celerbation.

Connecting with Nature… Connecting with Our World

We love the wind!

The gusty, blustery, fierce kind… Blowing things about!

Wild and wilful everywhere!

We do love the wind!

We have been out and about in all weathers.

Feeling the cold on our faces, in our toes and fingers.

Noticing the wind lifting things and blowing things.

The wind has felt so strong on our skin and in our clothes!

And we have been connecting with our garden.

We are full of independence and resourcefulness!

Climbing, biking, digging.

Have you played in our HUGE sand pit… it’s almost like a beach!

We have really persevered – digging with spades, filling up buckets… O so heavy!

We do like sand!

The run-between-your-fingers kind,

The built-it-into-castles kind.

We do like sand!
