On Friday 24 June, from 4pm Little Amal, the 3.5m tall puppet child is coming to Bristol as part of her walk across the UK – and you’re invited to welcome her and walk with her around our city!

Join Little Amal outside Bristol Old Vic on King Street where her journey begins with music, singing and poetry before she sets off on the streets of Bristol, meeting thousands of people along the way.

Schedule of Events and where to watch

3pm BRISTOL OLD VIC – Puppet making workshop for anyone age 7+ or younger children with adult support

4.30pm KING STREET – Little Amal arrives at Bristol Old Vic theatre. Miles Chambers Bristol Bristol! poem and Music from Bristol Refugee Festival

4.45pm WELSH BACK – DMAC drumming

5pm HIGH STREET – Dance piece from Doorstep Arts and Acta Community Theatre

5.10pm CORN STREET – late night market stalls. Refugee support organisation stands. Little Amal meets the wedding party

5.30pm BROAD QUAY –   Bristol Samba at the Neptune statue on the Centre with BOV Young Company Street Theatre group & Circomedia performers

6pm CASCADE STEPS –  Wave farewell as she leaves on a Bristol Cross Ferry. Somalian theatre group & Bristol refugee families wave goodbye
