Emotion Coaching – Helping Children Understand and Handle Emotions
At St. Paul’s, we offer a high empathy, high guidance approach called Emotion Coaching. This approach supports children’s emotional well-being by noticing, validating and labelling their emotions for them and helping them to find solutions and solve problems.
Feeling understood is key to being happy, resilient and well adjusted.
Using an Emotion Coaching approach can help you and your child to feel more connected to one another.
Watch Lucy’s video here to find out more about it.
Emotion Coaching – Boundaries and Guidance
Please come and look at our corridor display and read our Emotion Coaching booklet attached below.
You will find more information about how Emotion Coaching supports us to set loving limits with children- so they feel safe and contained, developing the necessary skills to self-regulate.
Please come and talk to Amber and Hayley with any questions AND look out
for Parent/Family events about Emotion Coaching – coming soon!
Gentle Reminder for Nursery School Families
Just a gentle reminder to Nursery School families to bring some fruit in to share. Just pop it in the fruit bowl on your way into the classroom. Thank you.
And please do bring in a family photo to put up on you child’s keygroup Family Board. This is a great way to support a sense of belonging, community, connection. Thank you.
