Family Postcards – Early Maths at Home
Maths is everywhere! We love Mathematics here at St. Paul’s and our provision is full of pattern, shape, space, measures and number.
On Thursday, 15 teachers from Somerset schools came to experience the incredible Maths learning your children are doing! They were so inspired by our “maths-rich environment and skilled, knowledgeable practitioners!”

Safe in the Sun
The sun is wonderful – but hazardous. We ask you to help keep your child safe for their day in the sun.
Can you please ensure that you…
- Apply a high factor sun cream to your child before they come to nursery (there are some ‘all day’ protection products now available in shops)
- Provide a named sun hat
- Cloth your child in clothing that covers their shoulders
- Ensure they wear sensible footwear that still supports and covers their feet (our outside area does have roots, branches, uneven ground to negotiate)
At the Nursery, we do have a supply of Boots Soltan Kids Suncare Lotion (SPF 30/50), which we will apply to the children in exceptional circumstances if your permission has been given. Your child’s keyperson – or practitioner welcoming you and your family – may ask you about suncream application on arrival at Nursery.
Book Donations Gladly Accepted – Our Book Collection

We are ‘growing’ our collection of books, buying lots and lots of Core Books, but are gladly accepting book donations from authors like Julia Donaldson, Eric Carle, Emily Gravett, Trish Cooke, and Nick Sharratt.
