Help with Potty and Toilet Training – Independence and confidence!

Summer is on its way, despite the rain! And it’s a great time to help children to use the potty and toilet. Toilet training is so important for children’s self-esteem and growing independence and ERIC is the national charity that supports children’s health in toileting.

There are great videos and advice.

Look out for another of our Toilet Training Workshops.

Water and Fruit Always Available – No snacks or water bottles please

Ensuring children are hydrated is essential. Water is available at all times for children across the Centre so please keep water bottles for home time.

And we have fruit and toast available for morning and afternoon snacks. Please feel free to donate fruit, but we ask you not to put snacks in bags because of a high number of children with allergies and to make snacktimes a fair, equitable and shared experience.

Thank you.

Nursery School Talk PANTS – A way of helping children feel safe

Talk PANTS is part of our curriculum and helps children stay safe.

Talks PANTS is NSPCC advice and guidance for children and parents, practitioners and teachers to help children understand their body belongs to them, and they should tell a safe adult they trust if anything makes them feel upset or worried.

Videos and guidance can be found here.
